Genesis 2:18-25

V18 The Lord God said, "it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."

There are many lessons we can get from the story of Adam and Eve, the story where everything begun, the story of the first marriage, a God-ordained story.

1. Before Eve, there was Adam.

(2v7) Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

God made and molded Adam first. God provided Adam everything he needs.

For us today, remember that God made us unique as He wanted us to become. God made us, a human being dependent on Him and not on anyone. God molded you, beautifully and wonderfully, above all His creations. So, bago ka pumasok sa marriage, trabuhuin mo muna yung "ikaw." Magpaayos at magpamold ka muna kay Lord. Ayusin mo muna yung "ikaw", intindihin mo muna yung "ako." Siguraduhing may "ikaw" muna bago magkaroon ng "kayo."

2. Before Eve, there was Adam and God.

Bago magkaroon ng Ikaw at Ako, siguraduhing may "Diyos at ako" muna.

Ayusin mo muna ang relasyon mo sa Diyos bago ka humanap ng relasyon sa ibang tao. You can only have a good relationship with other people if you have a great relationship with God first. Si Lord muna bago ang iba. Remember that it was God who saw that Adam needs a suitable person, and it is not Adam who ask God for it. God knew what Adam needs because Adam was close to Him, He knew Adam.

God knows exactly what you need and when will you need it. Trust Him.

3. Before Eve, there was a work to be done.

(v15) The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

God entrusted all His creations in the hands of Adam. Adam took the responsibility to take care of the garden.

What work has God entrusted you to do? Ano nga ba ang pinapagawa ni Lord sayo?

Bago mo tanungin kung sino ang nakalaan para sayo, tanong mo muna kung ano ang nais ipagawa ni Lord sa season mo ngayon. Kaya bago ka pumasok sa marriage, itanong mo muna sa sarili mo at kay Lord kung nagawa mo na ba ang lahat ng nais at mga utos Niya. Adam obeyed and followed God first before God gave him Eve. Kaya ikaw, mag obey ka muna. Go to where God is calling you to go. Do whatever God is asking you to do. Be a stable person in the presence of God. Be an established man/woman in the career or path God had planned for you. And, be filled by the unconditional love of God.
